A wartime pilot will be taking to the skies in a Tiger Moth for his 90th birthday.

Benjamin Blerkom totted up about 300 flying hours in the distinctive biplanes during the Second World War.

He also trained other pilots to fly.

Mr Blerkom, of Bridport Way, Braintree, wanted to fly in a Tiger Moth again so his children Barry and John Blerkom and Jane Chell have organised for his wish to come true at the Imperial War Museum Duxford tomorrow.
