Commuters can now make the most of free wireless internet while they wait for their train.

Rail operators Greater Anglia have introduced wi-fi at Witham and Braintree stations.

Passengers will be able to use the service free of charge for up to an hour each day.

Greater Anglia is aiming to introduce wi-fi to 100 stations across the region, in partnership with network operator The Cloud.

Customer service director Andrew Goodrum said: “Since taking over the franchise in February 2012, we have been focusing our efforts on improving customer service.

“Offering our customers free Wi-Fi is an important part of this as we recognise that the internet is a vital part of people’s everyday lives.”
