A supermarket chain has been accused of not challenging a council decision over plans for a store extension.
Braintree Council threw out a second planning application from Morrisons to extend its supermarket in Braintree Road, Witham, in February.
Witham Town Council urged the supermarket to appeal and wrote to Braintree Council’s leader and chief executive.
So far Morrisons has not said whether it plans to appeal or not.
Outgoing mayor Michael Lager said: “We really do need to get some sort of movement on this. “It is disappointing Braintree Council planning committee has taken the view that they have and it is disappointing that Morrisons seems to be taking it lying down.”
