A decision on plans to build a supermarket has been postponed.

Sainsbury’s consulted a QC after learning planning officers at Braintree Council had recommended its application to redevelop the Broomhills Industrial estate off Rayne Road, Braintree, be thrown out.

It was due to be discussed at planning committee this evening, but in the last 20 minutes, the council said it had been withdrawn from the agenda to allow further talks with Sainsbury's.
