Witham: Ella to appear on Jeremy Kyle Mother's Day Special
A brave family are set to appear on a Jeremy Kyle special to celebrate inspirational mums.
The Bardens, of Speedwell Close, will be on the mother’s day special of the ITV show at 9.25am tomorrow to raise awareness of Cockayne Sydrome, a fatal premature aging illness.
Ella, 6, was diagnosed with the syndrome, which affects an average of two people in every million, in December last year.
Days later pregnant mum Jodie, 26, and dad Luke, 27, were told their unborn daughter, who is due in April, also had the syndrome.
They will appear on the show with Ella’s brother Alex, who does not have the syndrome.
Mrs Barden said: “Ella absolutely loved it, she got all dressed up as a little princess.
“She thoroughly enjoyed it and she got to meet Jeremy Kyle.”
The family have already raised more than £3,000 to tick things off Ella’s bucket list and raise awareness of the syndrome.
Their chosen charity, Amy and Friends which raises money for research into the syndrome, is one of the chosen charities customers can support at Asda in Highfields Road, Witham.
