A primary school has been told to improve and two others have been graded good in a mixed bag of Ofsted reports.

Shalford Primary School was told it requires improvement while John Ray Junior School in Notley Road, Braintree, and White Court Primary School in Ennerdale Avenue, Great Notley, were graded good.

They were all inspected at the end of January.

John Ray Junior school had been graded satisfactory in its previous report in December 2009 but has now moved to the second highest Ofsted grade.
