Braintree: Big band music comes to town
Songs from the likes of Frank Sinatra and Glenn Miller will be given the big band treatment at an upcoming jazz event.
The Big Band Show, at Braintree Arts Theatre, takes place on Sunday at 7.30pm.
Singer and saxophone player Simone, who is part of the band, has performed with artists including Paul Weller and John Williams during her career.
Band leader Chris Smith has a similarly impressive CV, with his compositions frequently featuring on national radio and with a history of appearances on shows such as Top of the Pops.
