Braintree: Police called to Stanes Road Braintree: Police called to Stanes Road

Police were called to a block of flats this afternoon due to fears a man might harm himself.

Officers were called to Stanes Road, Braintree, at 3.10pm, following reports of concerns for the safety of a male in his mid-20s.

The man was talked out of his flat at about 4.20pm and has been taken to hospital for further assessment.

I live on stanes road, I don't understand if this is the case why there was around 30 officers there! Two police vans two dog unit cars, a ambulance and police cars?
Is that protocol? I really don't know!?
