Braintree: One Stop costs sent to council Braintree: One Stop costs sent to council

One Stop has sent its costs to Braintree Council following a successful appeal against a planning decision.

Braintree Council was ordered to cover the costs by the planning inspectorate after Tesco-owned convenience chain overturned a refusal for alterations to the former Inn on the Green in Coldnailhurst Avenue.

When asked for the costs Braintree Council released a joint statement with One Stop.

It said: "Braintree Council and One Stop are in joint agreement not to disclose claim costs at this time since both parties are in negotiations to settle upon a figure.

"Braintree Council is seeking to settle upon a figure which minimises the cost to its residents.

"Once this figure has been agreed by both parties, we will be in a position to announce this."

I don't see it that way, BDC opposed the proposal, the Planning Inspectorate rejected the rufusal so how come, in your view, does BDC not look after residents interests?
