Treasure thieves and harecoursers are just some of the criminals PC Andy Long has to deal with.
As Essex Police’s only full-time heritage, wildlife and environmental crime officer, his remit is far ranging.
More than 60 per cent of his work involves dealing with international organised crime, including the illegal sale of ivory.
