A shopper from Great Dunmow suffered serious injuries after a teenager fell from an 80ft shopping centre balcony and landed on top of him.

The 47-year-old, who has not been named, was allegedly walking with his wife at Westfield Stratford City in east London last Thursday afternoon when the 18-year-old plummeted from two floors above.

Both men survived but were taken to the Royal London Hospital with serious injuries.

A London Ambulance Service spokesman said the man who fell suffered leg and pelvic injuries, while the other suffered head injuries and had back and side pain.
