Witham: Green light for pub on Maltings Lane development
9:00am Thursday 14th February 2013 in News
Marstons has built new restaurant and pub sites across the country in recent years
A pub chain wants to begin work on a new restaurant site as soon as possible.
Marstons has been granted permission to build on the edge of the new Maltings Lane development in Witham.
Developers have also been given approval this month to begin the first phase of building work that will see shops and nursery facilities built on the site.
It is hoped formal plans for commercial parts of the development will be submitted in the next few months.

The reason that the Jack & Jenny is still closed is that Brakspear wants a new tenant that will pay £55,000 plus purchase their beer at a high price. Surprisingly enough they can not find any one to agree to their terms.
In mmy opinion there is more to the Jack & Jenny remaining closed than meets the eye. It could be that Brakspear's next move will be to apply for planning permission to demolish the Jack & Jenny for new housing. They will try to justify this by stating the Jack & Jenny has been closed for a long time with no hope of any one else reting it.

Life's only going to get worse if the
inner circle at BDC get their way and build even more houses in Witham.
Marston's seem to get their development passed with ease are they
anything to do with Tesco?
