Stay safe online with new website

A WEBSITE to help youngsters stay safe online has been revamped to celebrate Safer Internet Day.

The Essex Safeguarding Children Board (ESCB) has newly revamped its site to provide resources and information for professionals, parents, carers, children and young people.

Features include a bright and vibrant Children and Young People section is aimed at children aged over 12 and was produced following a consultation with youngsters.

Ray Gooding, councillor for children’s services at Essex County Council, said: “The new website provides a great deal of information in an easy to navigate and accessible format.”

This year marks the tenth anniversary of Safer Internet Day, organised by Insafe, which aims to promote safer and more responsible use of online technology.
