Two mums are to run a half marathon to raise awareness of a fatal premature ageing syndrome.
Sisters Natalie Gallop and Nina Eavery are running the Colchester half marathon in March in aid of Amy and Friends, a Cockayne Syndrome support group.
They wanted to help Ella Barden family’s plight to raise awareness.
The six-year-old was diagnosed with Cockayne Syndrome last year and her family are also trying to raise money for her bucket list.
The family have already raised more than £2,000 with challenges such as skydiving, plans to enter the Maldon Mud race and Mrs Barden shaving her hair off when the £1,500 mark was reached.
