A business networking group is holding an open day event in the hope of finding new members.

Vanguard BNI Witham was formed in May and aims to attract professionals from the Witham, Maldon and Chelmsford areas.

The group is holding the event at Benton Hall Golf and Country Club, in Witham, on Friday morning.

Guests are asked to arrive at 6.45am for the event, which runs from 7am to 8.30am.

The group holds a weekly networking breakfast at the venue every Friday.

How can 7.00-8.30am be called an open day? I'm sure when this group was launched there was embarrassingly little interest. I can't see people motivated to arrive at 6.45am. This article doesn't even say who you might meet, just "professionals".

You will have to copy and paste the link into notepad, then remove the spaces between words, and the link will then work.(its a problem with the posting software on this forum)

Anyway, you can see the members (all 17 of them) and one of them is from a legal partnership :-)

Oops, just read the chapter rules:-
"BNI has been proven to work for over 26 years. The philosophy is simple. BNI limits each local group to one person only from each trade/profession."

They are very brave using the word "Chapter" to describe their group, even our bike club doesn't do that.
