Wickham Bishops: Mum's the word for Essex baby website

A mum has launched her own website to combat the struggles of motherhood in Essex.

Mum-of-two Tamsin Malone, 34, of Maypole Road, Wickham Bishops, set up www.essexbaby.co.uk this week after she found it difficult to find information on what to do with a baby in Maldon.

The website, which is aimed at providing everything you need to know about raising children in Essex, offers a business directory with reviews, a forum to share experiences and a blog written by local mums.

Mrs Malone, who gave up being an accountant in Baker Street in London to care for her children, hopes the site will take off in popularity.

She said: “Lots of things are already online but you have to spend hours and hours trying to find out what you want that’s relevant to you in your area."
