A father is furious after his breast cancer-suffering wife had her benefits halted for a second time until she could prove her illness.

Mother-of-three Caroline Grogan, of Yare Avenue, Witham, was diagnosed with breast cancer about 18 months ago and underwent surgery and reconstruction, followed by two months of intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy.

He said: “We’ve had to go through all this rigmarole for nothing really – to get what she deserves.”
