Braintree: Charity knitters need your help

Retired knitters are appealing for donations of wool to make blankets for Ethiopian children.
Audrey Titlow has rounded up residents at The Hawthorns retirement complex in Tortoiseshell Way, Braintree, for the project.
Her daughter Lindsey Cornish and son-in-law, Andrew, are doing a year’s voluntary work with Volunteer Service Overseas, working in the baby unit at Arba Minch hospital in southern Ethiopia.
The knitters need wool and crochet hooks of 4mm or 4.5mm.
