Braintree: Students to take on Ancient Greek comedy
An Ancient Greek comedy has been given a twist by performing arts students.
Lysistrata was originally performed in Greece 1,500 years ago, telling the story of one woman’s mission to end a war.
Students at the College at Braintree are setting the play during World War Two as they perform the play this week.
Shows take place at 7.30pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday in the college’s main hall, in Church Lane, Braintree.
Tickets are £8 for adults and £6 for concessions. Call 01206 814141 or email cmpalive@colchester.ac.uk
