Performing arts students thrilled their audience with a performance of Frankenstein.
The Year 13 students at New Rickstones Academy, in Conrad Road, Witham, put on Patrick Sandford’s stage adaptation of the story at the school.
Jamie Gordon, 17, was heavily involved in the show, directing the performance and playing the role of Frankenstein’s Creature.
He said: “The audience seemed to really enjoy our show. It’s the first time I’ve ever directed anything like this, but it was a great experience directing my peers as that’s the type of work I’d like to do in future after drama school.
“I’d like to get involved in directing and acting. Now I’ve done it once, I’d feel more confident to do it again.”
Academy principal Trenica King, who was in the audience, said: “It was a thrilling performance; spine-chilling at times. It really was powerful and I’m very proud of everyone involved in the production.”
