A developer is determined to breathe fresh life back into a Georgian mansion that has laid in ruins for decades.

Felix Hall in Kelvedon was built back in 1715 but, a far cry from its former self, now lies as a roofless burnt-out ruin after being engulfed by fire in the 1940s.

Despite withdrawing two successive planning applications, its latest owner Richard Sargeant, a founding director of developer City and County, which specialises in restoring and converting historic buildings, is said to be determined to return it to its former glory.
