A mother insists she will not stop her son’s friends leaving tributes on his grave despite warnings from a council.

Former Honywood Community Science School pupil Matt Sims, who died in November 2011 aged 16, is buried at St Peter’s Church Cemetery in Coggeshall.

Last month Michelle Sims, 45, criticised an “insensitive” notice left at the cemetery reminding mourners to remove all Christmas decorations by January 31.

Since then, she has received a further letter from Coggeshall Parish Council following a complaint made about Matt’s grave.
