A fundraiser is continuing her plight to help raise money for hearing impaired children in Sierra Leone.

Linda Freestone, 60, of Church Road, Wickham Bishops, will visit St Joseph’s School for the Hearing Impaired in Makeni next month.

She chairs the Friends of St Joseph’s School for the Hearing Impaired which helps with projects to allow the school to become self sufficient, such as building a farm.

She first became involved with the school in 2009 after visiting while on holiday.

Last week she met MEP Richard Howitt, who was appointed Chief Election Observer for the European Union’s 100-strong monitoring team in the recent Sierra Leone national elections, to kickstart the next fundraising drive.
