Well lets hope the services improves in Braintree. Don't normally use buses, but decided to use one in December. The bus normally runs every half hour, I waited over an hour and still no bus arrived. Eventually a driver walked over and told us it would be at least another hour. He was very apologetic but very embarrassed at telling us of the delay. I shared a taxi home with another person from the bus as we were very cold & fed up by then.

First Bus need to sort their service out before they increase the cost of travelling. My 11 year old son travels from Braintree to school in Chelmsford and has been doing so since September 2012. We have to pay a full adult fare of £105 per month. At least once a week we end up having to drive him to Chelmsford because the 7:32 number 70 fails to turn up. Only this week when I called first bus at 8:15 to complain and ask when the next bus would come I was told it would be at least another hour. Meaning the bus would have been at least 1hr 45 minutes late. First Bus need to address their appalling service and give their customers the service they pay for before they even dare ask for more money.
