Friends will attempt to hitchhike from Braintree to the Eiffel Tower and back to raise money for Cancer Research.

Adam Moses, 23, of Vernon Way, Braintree, organised the fundraiser after his father, Andrew Moses, 55, was diagnosed with prostate cancer just before Christmas.

Adam will be waved off from the Wetherspoons Picture Palace pub in Braintree tomorrow and will be joined by up to 16 friends, from Braintree, Chelmsford and Witham.

Each team member is hoping to raise at least £200.
