Braintree: Toddler defied the odds

"You're going to bleed to death if we don’t get your baby out now.”

These terrifying words, uttered by doctors worried for Georgia Archer’s life, is something she’ll never forget.

She was haemorrhaging to an almost fatal degree, yet Georgia was only 24 weeks pregnant and all too aware that every day her baby remained in the womb would give him a better fighting chance towards life.

As Georgia, now 33, was taken for an emergency caesarean she knew there was little chance of her baby surviving.

Yet two years later, Kaydn Archer-Rippingale has just celebrated his second Christmas with proud mum and dad Paul, of Great Leighs.
