A weather enthusiast has recorded the worst rainfall in Witham for eight years.
Justine Coxell, a commercial team leader for Sainsbury’s, has her own weather station, which records temperatures, windspeed and rainfall and feeds the data back to her computer.
Special software then converts the information into charts and logs.
Ms Coxell, of Elizabeth Avenue, Witham, reports show that a record 1,174mm of rain fell last year - compared to just 125.8mm in 2006.
