A mother has been jailed for four years after setting alight to her own house, causing thousands of pounds of damage to two others and a van.
On August 25, Ana Rego set fire to curtains in the home she shared with her partner Augusto Ribeiro, 16-year-old daughter and 14-year-old son, in Rosemary Avenue, Braintree.
No one was injured, but two neighbouring homes and Mr Ribeiro's van were also damaged.
Chelmsford Crown Court heard Rego, 43, had admitted six charges of reckless arson endangering life during a court appearance in November.
