Police are searching for a man accused of assaulting a teenage girl at a school in Felsted.
Officers were contacted at about 11am today following reports that a man had approached a girl at a school on Braintree Road and threatened her with violence.
The girl managed to escape from the man and run off before alerting a teacher.
The man is described as white, about 30-years-old, 5ft 10" tall and has short, dark brown hair, which was gelled up.
He was wearing jeans, a blue hoodie with white tassels, and trainers.
Investigating officer, DI Stephen Jennings, said: "This man’s description is very detailed and distinctive in several ways.
"We would urge people who were in the area of the school between 10.30am and 11.30am on Tuesday morning and who saw a man matching the physical or clothing description given to contact us.”
Anyone with information is urged to call detectives at Braintree police station on 101.
