Children will get expert training from West End stars before performing alongside them on stage.

The Wish Upon A Star Theatre Company is holding a workshop for ages four to 18, starting on Thursday.

Aspiring young performers will get the chance to learn the songs, scenes and dances from some of the West End’s most famous shows, taught by the stars themselves.

And at the end of the four-day workshop, the children will show off what they have learned as they perform alongside their tutors to showcase their talent.

Founder Amy Jessop started the Wish Upon A Star Theatre Company after moving to Coggeshall from London.

She said: “I was convinced that as a performer for many years and a teacher myself, I could create a group where interacting with the children and sparking their imaginations was key and providing them with a class that they loved was the most important thing.

“With genuine West End performers as teachers, the children not only get a great teacher but a top class performance every week.”

The West End Workshop, for ages four to 18, takes place from Thursday until Sunday, from 10am to 3pm each day.

The final show, A West End Christmas, will be performed on Sunday at 7pm, in the village hall in Stoneham Street, Coggeshall.

Tickets are £10 for adults and £6 for children aged 14 and under. Call 01376 618711.
