Essex: Last chance for residents to have say on Uttlesford boundary changes
Time is running out for residents to have their say on proposals to reduce the number of district councillors in Uttlesford.
The Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE) is re-drawing ward boundaries so each councillor will represent roughly the same number of voters.
It will see the number of councillors in Uttlesford reduced from 44 to 39, and could affect residents in Felsted, Stebbing and Dunmow.
Residents have until January 14 to make suggestions for new ward boundaries.
LGBCE chairman Max Caller said: “We are asking local people to help us make sure the new boundaries reflect the interests and identities of local communities.
