Firefighters rescued a Labrador trapped in tree roots

Firefighters had to rescue a Labrador trapped in tree roots.

The dog was entangled at a riverbank near Flitch Green Academy, Tanton Road, Little Dunmow, just after 9.45am this morning.

A crew from Dunmow and the animal rescue unit from South Woodham Ferrers attended.

Members of the public helped calm the dog and it was freed by 10.20am.
