An invention presented to Dragons Den could be rolled out in homes across Braintree.

Founder of Onvention, Andreas Patikis, appeared on the hit BBC Two, programme last month with his Tic Toc, food saver device.

He asked the terrifying panel for £50,000 of investment in exchange for a ten per cent share in his business, Onvention.

Mr Patikis did not manage to win any cash from the dragons but since the show, has approached Essex County Council who have agreed to pilot the Tic Toc in 5,000 homes in Braintree and Harlow.
