Braintree: Burglars steal disabled pair's Christmas and bills money
Despicable burglars raided a disabled pair’s home and stole more than £1,000 cash they had saved up for Christmas presents.
Mum and son, Harry and Myrtle Redkin, had gone out for lunch, when the thieves broke in to their home between 9.40am and 1pm on Saturday.
Mr Redkin, 57, was paralysed from the waist down in a horrific car accident at Great Leighs in 1980 and Myrtle, 85 is profoundly deaf.
He said: “It’s horrible, we have had our Christmas [taken] now."

This is an absolutely dreadful heart rending situation that must have affected so many Braintree townsfolk. They should be able to look to you for leadership at a time like this
