Families have been getting into the festive spirit at a traditional seasonal fair.

Cressing Temple near Braintree is hosting Cressing Unwrapped this weekend, organised by Essex County Council.

Children can meet Father Christmas and listened to festive stories from his grotto, before selecting a present from the elves’ toy shop.

They also have the chance to meet reindeer and popular children’s characters such as Peter Pan and Captain Hook.

It runs again tomorrow from 11am to 4pm.
