Taxpayers are being promised a third year of no council tax increase.

Braintree Council leader Graham Butland has made the pledge for next year, and hopes to keep it the same for the next two years after that.

However, he also warned the council is still facing an uncertain financial situation.

Braintree Council and Greenfields Community Housing is also looking to build more than 250 new homes over the next three years, using money from its joint Community Housing Investment Partnership.
