No rail engineering works for Christmas period

GREATER Anglia confirmed this week there would be no major engineering work in the run-up to Christmas.
The train operator said the mainline route between Norwich and London Liverpool Street, including services from Colchester, will not be affected by any significant pre-planned engineering work at weekends in December from Saturday December 1.
Network Rail will be carrying out some essential improvement works at weekends in December on the mainline route but this will be limited to very early mornings on Sundays only affecting first departures from Colchester before 6am.
