Michael Lager, Witham Town Council leader, said staff had worked extra hours in the run up to the International Puppet festival.

What? £200 towards their Christmas lunch? Between how many people? Or is that each? That puppet thing is turning out rather expensive, what with the overtime they will demand to catch up for the extra day they've been given off. Money well spent Council, not.
