Roads and paths flooded after Braintree district saw more than a month’s rain in six hours.
Emergency services received were called out to more than 100 flood-related incidents on Monday and Tuesday.
In Braintree, Witham and Kelvedon flood warning were in place for the rivers Pant, Brain and Blackwater after 50mm, or a months’ rain, fell on Monday night.
