A teenager was threatened with a 12 centimetre kitchen knife by a robber who approached him in the street.

The male victim was approached by the unknown suspect in Bartram Avenue, Braintree, at 7.15pm on Wednesday evening.

The robber took four Ralph Lauren shirts, valued at a total of £280.

Anyone with information is asked to call Braintree police station on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
