Men and women dressed up to the nines in a Dickens of a knees up to raise nearly £12,000 for charity.
Headway Essex in Colchester celebrated the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens at its black tie ball in Bocking to raise vital funds for survivors of brain injury, their families and carers.
The event was staged at the Fennes Estate and included a sparkling wine reception, a three course meal and an auction.
It raised £11,941.
