Braintree is to get a synthetic skating rink for the first time.
Paul McCain, of Great Notley, is setting up the rink on the tennis courts at Braintree and Bocking Public Gardens.
He will donate one day’s takings to a local children’s charity, which has yet to be chosen.
And the rental income he pays will go towards the maintenance of the gardens in Bocking End.
It will be open from December 8 to January 13, except Christmas Day.
