Braintree: 7,000 Indi Cards handed out

The Indi Card aims to get people shopping locally
More than 7,000 discount cards for shops in Braintree and Witham have been handed out.
The Indi Card, organised by Braintree Council and supported by the Times, encourages residents to shop locally and more than 50 businesses have signed up so far.
Cards will be handed out in Newlands Shopping Centre, Witham, on December 8 from 10am to 3pm and in Halstead High Street on December 1 from 10am to 3pm.
They are also available from the Times office and participating shops.

i for once went shopping in chelmsford yesterday and went to HMV have not been there for a very long time 5+ years i bought 4 films now when i walked out the shop the alarm went off so i stopped i then had to open my bag to show all i had was the films i just bought the guy scanned them again and it was fine however what made my blood boil was the amount of people looking at me as a theif lol moments like this **** me off and i will not go back and buy from there again,town centres will die off you will just have supermarkets times have changed
