A young woman will become Father Christmas for a charity run in memory of her mother.
Trudy Collins, of Great Notley, is one of almost 200 people who have signed up for the Farleigh Hospice Santa Fun Run.
The Chelmsford hospice cared for her mother, Jill Chappell, 65, formerly of White Court in Great Notley. She had been diagnosed with lung and bone cancer.
The Santa Fun Run is a 4km route around Chelmsford’s Central Park on December 9.
Registration is £10 for adults and £5 for children under 16, which includes a Santa suit for adults and a Santa hat for younger children The fee will go towards the cost of running the event.
Deadline for entries is November 28.
