She should be locked up for setting such a bad example to the younger generation by roaring around the place like she does without her crash helmet properly fastened.

She doesn't look like she's going anywhere fast to me. At least it's a photo of an actual resident of the Hawthorns and not a standard photo of "an old woman" that the B&W might otherwise use (the ambulance, the fire engine, the Dutch dustcart, the police tape, the helicopter, to name but a few of our old favourites)

Yellow Peril you're right!

Indeed, this lovely lady could be the answer to the B&W Times' problem.

Fix her up with an old Box Brownie Camera and she could scoot around taking snaps of all of Braintree's little dramas.

You could bet your life that she would do a better job than the existing ‘Toy Town’ bunch.

Proper pictures at last? – Just like a grownup newspaper – Wow!

Come on Cecelia, were all behind you.

Ompita - careful you don't criticise the old B&W people too much. I made a joke at their expense once and I was zapped out of being able to comment!

Hmmmmmmm! Interesting thought. I’m too young to be zapped!

I believe that journalists are usually a pretty resilient bunch when it comes to parrying off criticism, but all said and done maybe I was being just a teensy-weensy bit hard on them - after all it is almost Christmas .

Gratifying to know however that the B&W Team do actually look at the comments. I was beginning to wonder.

The thing is, do they ever reply?
