Braintree: Mum upset after school fails to tell her about daughter's accident
A mother is upset that a school failed to inform her after her daughter’s face was burned during a cookery class.
12-year-old Chloe Smith was in class at Alec Hunter Humanities College in Stubbs Lane, Braintree, on Monday when the accident happened.
A flame from a classroom oven jumped up and singed the pupil’s face, hair and eyebrows.
But her parents only found out about what had happened when Chloe sent a text message to her dad later in the day.
