Youngsters have been flocking to a new village skate park.

The Silver Bowl, in Silver End, officially opened last Saturday off Broadway.

Parish councillors had been working to get a purpose-built play area for bikes, skateboards and skates because the village’s last BMX track had not been in use for about ten years and children were making their own dangerous tracks.

Bendcrete Skateparks, who worked with the youngsters to design the park, helped organise the opening event, including displays from some top local riders.
