Essex: Admin staff paid more than paramedics
Administrators can earn more than paramedics at the East of England Ambulance Service.
Applicants for a back office role, to become the PA to an administrator, can expect to earn up to £30,000.
Meanwhile life saving paramedics are paid between £21,000 and £27,000.
Paramedics are said to be “genuinely surprised” to find admin staff can be placed in higher pay bands than those on the frontline.
However the trust has defended the salary.
