Don’t remember everyone’s favourite fantasy spaceman Buzz Lightyear toting any ray guns, but that’s what you can do now with the new Toy Story Mania game on the Wii.

Just slot your Wii-mote inside the Thrustmaster Ray Gun and away you go.

It has been specifically designed for the game featuring classic Toy Story characters, Woody, Buzz and of course the rest of the gang.

The result is a faithful rendering of the distinctive spirit found in the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort’s attraction.

Stephane Hareau, boss at Disney Consumer Products in Europe, said: “We are pleased to partner with Thrustmaster to develop a range of fun and innovative gaming accessories for Disney in Europe. That suggest there could be more in the pipeline – nothing wrong with that.

The game itself features multiplayer competitive and cooperative modes for you and up yp three friends and really will turn into hours of fun.

There are 10 fast-paced shooting galleries featured, including some adapted from the theme park attraction and others that are original.

Thrustmaster has made it its mission to bring to life the gun used by the legendary Buzz Lightyear of Star Command. With its eye-popping shape and colours, an emphasis is placed on the fun that players can have in their own fun-filled carnival.

The Ray Gun should be around the £15 mark, but do shop around.
