FOR those seeking a career change, a trip to the Gazette’s Job and Training Exhibition is a must.
It will be full of businesses giving helpful advice, with the aim of getting job-hunters the career they desire. The event takes place on Thursday, September 10, from 11am - 6pm at the Town Hall, High Street, in Colchester.
Visitors will be able to get advice on full and part time work, further education courses and learn how to put together the best CV they can, courtesy of Words Worth Reading.
The CV Database team will be giving job-seekers the chance to be headhunted by local and national employers by demonstrating how to upload a CV onto the CV Database site.
Companies will be on hand offering advice on training opportunities, including Otley College, BCT Consortium, TBG Learning, Seetec, Catten College, Anglian Ruskin University, the School of Health and Human Sciences at the University of Essex, and APC.
For those looking to find work, Army Careers will be there, along with Family Mosaic, SVC Recruitment, Mencap, Priory Group, Job Centre Plus, Avon Cosmetics, Cloud 9 Care, Social Care Professionals and Autism Anglia.
Otley College spokesman, John Nice, said: “We are delighted to be attending the Job and Training Exhibition at Colchester Town Hall. “We have attended similar events in the past and we have always found them incredibly useful. “In recent months we have found more and more people are thinking about training and education – not just in Essex – but throughout East Anglia. “So we are looking forward to what I’m sure will be a very successful event.”
All the latest jobs from the Gazette and Job Centre Plus will be posted in the Job Zone areas, where everyone is welcome to look.
